The Barking Tree

A poem to go by…

She barked on a wrong tree.

The tree stood still to watch the dance of leaves;

The leaves felt ignored by the wind.

The humour in the air-dried up.

Evaporation began in water.

The water turned into thin air.

Gone was the wind from where it came.

Leaving dust and sand to settle down on the ground.

The laugh of wind in the deserted land disappeared.

He barked on the wrong tree leaving her in dismay of her thoughts.

Her emotions were all over the place.

The humour in the air-dried up.

The leaves felt ignored by the wind just like her.

Dead laughs were heard.

She barked on a wrong tree.
