There are tons of self-care regimes in the market. And it varies from person to person, right? Totally, but, In my case, it was journaling.

This is my favourite regime. So, what is yours? ( Do tell me in the comment section below)

Of all the things, journaling, is by far my favourite thing.

With journaling, you get an overview of all the things which is currently occupying your headspace. The problem gets reviewed more clearly when it’s jotted down on a piece of paper. It traces you back to your thoughts which are troubling you at the moment. It gives you clarity of thought and a whole new level of perspective, which you are lacking at the moment. And this is the only thing you want in life when get lost, the clarity of thought gives you a new ray of hope to come back again and on the same path.

One of the greatest inventions, of our time. Don’t you agree?

Why journalling is my favourite self-care regime?

Well, back in 2016–2019 late end when you’re going through a tough time. And you kind of stop processing at one point. And there’s nobody to turn to you will eventually fall in a pothole where you can’t seem to climb up. Then you are stuck in that phase. I believe I was going through depression which I didn’t know about at first. It was a tough phase when your emotions are all over the place. And you want to rely on something to get better at it. Right then, Journalling came into the picture. And hasn’t left since then. While writing Journals my mind became calmer and I got better at handling my emotions and reading my thoughts.

On a personal note, the biggest reason for journalling is to get over the pessimistic tendencies the mind brews and have better control over your action.

When my depressing phases got over , My journals had evolved into productive journals where goals and short term targets are listed along with me tracking my sleep and other habits. I have been also tracking the courses which I am currently taking.

Why you should do journalling?

  • I think journalling, is by far the biggest form of meditation. It allows you to be more expressive and open to better practices in life.
  • You know one thing besides giving clarity to the mind, it also helps in analysing one’s thought process and believing in ones' thoughts which we tend to undermine generally.
  • You will value your thoughts more once you do journalling. It aligns you with your priorities.
  • You can track your habits along with your daily or weekly targets.
  • It helps you in finding your true calling. It makes you aware of your thought process which will help in deciding your purpose in life.

So, this was my way of self-care through journalling what is yours? So,do tell me in the comment section below! I would love to hear about it from you guys!!

Thank you for reading!
